About the Role

Acorns & Twigs is opening a brick-and-mortar fiber arts shop in downtown Centerville Iowa and we’re looking for a Store Manager to help us bring the vision to life!

This is a hands-on, make-it-happen kind of role. You’ll help set up the space, welcome customers, organize supplies, and host in-person workshops — all while helping shape the store’s future.

Whether you’re already a fiber arts fan or just love connecting with people in a creative space, this could be your dream job.

What You'll Do

🛍 Launch the Shop:

  • Stock shelves

  • Arrange displays and signage

  • Finalize layout and window visuals

  • Prepare for grand opening

🎨 Run the Store Day-to-Day:

  • Open and close the store

  • Assist customers with a warm, welcoming approach

  • Restock inventory and maintain displays

  • Handle point-of-sale and daily operations

  • Eventually hire and manage part-time helpers

📚 Host & Organize Classes and Events:

  • Coordinate with teachers for in-store workshops

  • Prepare supplies, collect payments, and reserve spots

  • Promote upcoming events

  • Gather feedback and brainstorm new class ideas

🌟 Build Community Connections:

  • Promote the store locally

  • Attend or support events, fairs, and community groups

  • Be the local face of Acorns & Twigs

Who We're Looking For

Pay & Perks

💵 Starting Pay: $16/hr
🚀 90-day review + growth path to $18–$19/hr
