Extra Extra long sewing needle for bringing your embroidery thread through a large doll's head.

These are actually made for beading crafts, but I am offering them here as doll supplies as I have found them very helpful when making larger dolls.

Please note, they are not as sturdy as our other sewing needles. They bend very easily and require a bit of patience getting it through the doll's head, but it offers the possibility to embroider the face that wouldn't be possible without the length these provide!

When you make a Waldorf Inspired cloth doll, you typically start on the back of the head by tying a knot in the embroidery floss and pulling it through to the front of the head, which requires a SUPER long needle to be able to reach through the entire head's diameter.

Which is what these needles are perfect for!

Very long needles

Excellent service and product of course. As it happens, though I was looking for something more heavy duty in this length, to use with yarns, not thread. I'll keep them around, and I'm sure eventually find a use for them, thank you.

XL Doll needles

Used to add a few stitched into the smooth lower back cushion (to allow room for a spinal deformity of 96 y.o. mother) & it all worked out well.
I thought the eye might be too small, but, using Upholstery tough thread, it all worked. I really pulled very hard on the threads, tying them to the seat metal frame in the back of the cushion. It's all still great, 7 days later. Didn't realize the XL needles would be so bendable but in my case, it was very beneficial as I had to start from the back of the cushion & aim up, to get it through the thick foam & aim it come out exactly where I wanted it & back through the cushion so I could tie the upholstery thread off! I was glad the needle was flexible; thank you sew much!!!

What a great find! Just what I needed for beginning and ending embroidered doll eyes and mouths , drawing the floss to the top of the head to fasten off. Other long needles have large eyes that leave a hole in the face fabric. These long, thin needles with small eyes solve that problem.
