Every wet felting process requires water, agitation, wool and soap.

If you are planning to wet felt anytime in the future, you won't regret investing on some high quality olive oil soap.

Several felters I know prefer dissolving the soap flakes in hot water, making a soapy solution instead of working with a bar of soap. If you agree, then this is the choice for you.

If you are like me, and prefer the bar of soap to rub your hands on when needed, to better control the amount of soap used during the wet felting process, then you might want to look at our 300g bar of soap, made by the same company. 

The vegetable oil soaps by Savon du Midi are manufactured in the Provence in France.

This is my favorite soap for felting because it doesn't dry out your hands, like dishwasher soap does, even after hours of wet felting.

The base soap is made of
- palm oil,
- coconut oil and
- olive oil from certified organic cultivation.

The olive soap is made without artificial colors and fragrances (although it does smell very strongly of olive oil). Due to the balanced proportions of olive oil, palm oil and coconut oil creates a mild, refatting soap.
